Holiday Travel Alert

I am blogging from Jess's laptop as we inch our way through Atlanta. Although we are south of it, having been inching for a couple of hours, we are expecting a long night. Just as we were getting our hopes up to be almost out, we passed a sign "Holiday Travel Alert: Expect long delays on I-75" We are tired and cranky, having left Jess's parents at 5:59am. (Almost 12 hours ago).

However! We are THANKFUL that we left southern IL and drove SOUTH through the good weather. We are thankful that we got to see all the fam and eat. And eat. And eat some more. And we are thankful that we have had minimal crying so far. Oh, and the kids haven't cried much either.

Anyone know any good travel games?

That reminds me--we are thankful for our Honda Odyssey with its DVD player.

Love, Sarah

AAaaaah! We made it! You made it! I got your sweet message on the machine last night, but was too distracted by the flurry of everybody suddenly realizing they had to get in gear for the next morning to call you back. You would have been home already, anyway. Mom said you beat us home. Sorry you hit traffic. We hit sleet and construction and were delayed by about 1 1/2 hours. But we are home. And thankful.
