My Papaw went to heaven this morning! He was such a jovial, fun man. Just looking at these pictures again makes me smile. Babies always loved him, and we loved being around him and hearing his stories. We'll miss him a lot, but Mamaw's been waiting almost 20 years to see him! Knowing our time with him was limited, I took these pictures before he headed to the doctor on Christmas Eve. I'm so thankful to have had those few minutes and these pictures of the children with their great-grandpa. Please keep our family, my mom and her brother and sister, in your prayers this week and I'll post more when I get back home.

Sarah, I am so sorry about your Papaw. Praying for you and your family.
Sarah doesn't mention it above, but I also wanted to say that Papaw (aside from being a great father and husband) was a WWII Veteran. My fondest memories of him will always be the few times he shared his memories of his service and those with whom he served. He always seemed so tickled to share those memories and even more tickled when those thoughts would jog things he probably hadn't thought of in many years. Thanks Papaw. Jess
